An important update

I have been inundated with calls, sms’, emails and social media messages asking for updates on The People’s Dialogue, and our next steps.

As a result of the lockdown, The People’s Dialogue feedback event we were scheduled to have on 24 March has been postponed indefinitely. However, I look forward to sharing the full report with you via livestream as soon as the situation allows.

We are also still very hopeful of being able to launch our political party in June, but we are assessing the situation on a weekly basis. Our priority is putting the safety of our supporters first, so any public event will not be possible in the immediate future.

In the meantime, the work to refine the values around which our party will be based, continues: non-racialism, a free-market economy, social justice, the rule of law, and electoral reform.

We have also started the process of setting up structures in Johannesburg, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni and will soon be sharing more details on how you can get involved. Some supporters have started mobilising themselves in their respective areas and through various social media platforms. We support and welcome this.

As an organisation, we are still coming to grips with this new situation, as I am sure you are too.

You can look forward to much more regular communication from me on my social media profiles throughout this lockdown.
